Mainlining Specifications

The extent of your project depends on several factors. Low Hazen Williams "C" testing will help determine the scope of the problem being experienced. In addition to cleaning and lining, replacement of lateral valves, in-line valves, hydrant branches, and hydrants may be needed to complete the rehabilitation process.

Mainlining installations comply with the most recent AWWA standard specification C-602 for "Cement Mortar Lining of Water Pipelines - 4" and Larger - in Place." Other mortar materials and admixtures have been used to meet individual requirements for unique jobs.
